Overview Management Team Partners Careers Tony Castagno CEO A technologist with an entrepreneurial drive, Tony has led development organizations through project and product oriented lifecycle development. In 2001, Tony along with Brian Leslie founded Vertical Thought. Vertical Thought is a Microsoft .NET consulting organization which rapidly achieved profitability and lists Microsoft among its marquee clients. During his career he has lectured on technology and been published in technology periodicals. In 1996 Tony was awarded a US Patent for ground breaking work in early text paging technologies. Tony graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1989 with a BS in Computer Science. During Tony's service in the Army he led a cavalry tank platoon in the Gulf War and was decorated for his actions. After leaving the service, Tony worked for Deloitte & Touche, TimeCorp, Verifone, ADP, Sapient and several B2B startups. Brian Leslie President As a founding member of Vertical Thought, Brian has helped establish the company as one of the leading .NET development organizations. Prior to founding Vertical Thought, Brian was Software Architect for a leading provider of Human Capital Management software, where he led the design and development of an enterprise web application that is currently supporting thousands of users in over 15 countries. This application has been recognized by Microsoft as one of the most advanced applications built on the Microsoft .NET platform. Early in his career Brian led a startup software development company from its founding in the Advanced Technology Development Center (ATDC) through two successful mergers. Brian has led technology projects for several large companies such as Delta Airlines, Bellsouth, MCI/WorldCom, The Weather Channel, UK Cabinet Office, Microsoft, Unicru, and WorldSpan. Brian graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology magna cum laude with a degree in Computer Science. Hal Harris Vice President, Client Services Hal Harris joined Vertical Thought in 2008. Mr. Harris has over twenty years of leadership experience in the information technology industry delivering consulting services and computing solutions to clients in a broad range of industries and markets. As VP of Client Services, Mr. Harris leads and oversees the delivery of services and technology solutions. Hal’s skill in information planning, business improvement and project management, along with his strong technology background, is focused on delivering solutions and quality professional services to our clients. Recently Mr. Harris served as VP of Services for a printer commodities and service firm and, beginning in 2005, two years as VP of Operations for a Software as a Service (SaaS) firm. In 2001, he formed an IT managed services firm serving clients in the Eastern US. Previously, Hal headed all professional services and product delivery in the southeastern United States for Pearson Education Systems. During his extended tenure with Unisys Corporation, Mr. Harris held senior management and principal positions including engagement manager for large financial projects, development manager of a major banking product, practice principal for information planning and process improvement services, and finally as director for Unisys’ North America Financial Retail Delivery program. Mr. Harris also serves on the board for several non-profit organizations, including CILOA and the Technology Association of Georgia (TAG).
